KALATHAKI BAG in Benaki Museum

The project.

The Kalathaki Bag is inspired from the traditional tirovoli basket used  for the production of the cheese in Mykonian mountain dairies. It is made of Juncus plant in specific dimensions and weaving technique. 

Faye Chatzi, in collaboration with the crafts-women of the NHMA-Benaki Museum passementerie, created only 4 baskets made on a traditional loom, exclusively for the Benaki Museum Pavilion at Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel.
