Artemis

€440.00
sold out

Handmade shawl, woven on a traditional loom.

The Artemis shawl is a labour of love. Its wool of outstanding quality is embellished with subtle metallic details to create a sumptuous piece. Luxurious and elegant, it will keep you warm while adding a glamorous touch to your outfit. It is adorned with a line of raw silk threads produced in house.

All preparation and processing of our products is done by hand from start to finish, using ancient Greek techniques, every step of the way – from the alteration of the raw materials to the weaving of the yarn.

The production of the shawl begins with the collection of pure wool; this is obtained from the sheep without hurting the animals, cleared from dust, dirt or weeds, washed, and then spun by hand. The production of silk follows a similar, organic process: the silkworms are bred and then run their natural life course, before transforming into chrysalises and gifting us their precious silk.

The process of spinning involves a rotary motion through which the fibres become cohesive and firm so as to evolve into thread. The threads either retain their natural colours or are dyed using natural herbs.

Materials: fine wool, raw silk Colour: black, off-white
Dimensions: approx. 90x220 cm

Packaging: reusable and non-toxic

Shipping: 5-7 working days (in stock)

All items can be customised in terms of colour and dimensions. Please contact the showroom to discuss available options.
